I tried to do water marble nails once before and it did not turn out nicely.. so I was kind of glad to see that Water Marble was one of the challenges because it forced me to get back into it. I think they turned out great for my first official time doing them properly.
I started by painting all my nails with one coat of
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White. I then applied my
Easy Peel Latex Barrier around each nail, which really helped with the removal stage. In a cup of room temperature water, I added blobs of
Beyond the Nail - Cosmopolitan and
Zoya - Wendy.
I then got an orange wood stick and dragged lines through the water until I was happy with a design. I stuck my finger in it and when I took it out, I was left with the awesome design pictured below! I peeled away the latex barrier and I had to get a tiny brush and clean up my cuticles, but I didn't have to spend so much time cleaning the rest of my finger. Everything was topped off with
PRO-FX - Quick Dry Topcoat.
