Today is Day 18 of The 31 Day Nail Art Challenge! Today's challenge is Half Moon Nails.
I did two designs for today's challenge because I wasn't sure if I liked the first design. For the look at the top, I started off by painting my nails with two coats of
Beyond the Nail - Canadian Ice. When dried, I added one coat of
PRO-FX - Quick Dry Topcoat. I then placed on some
Half Moon Nail Guides (coming soon to Beyond the Nail!) to the top of each nail, and added one coat of
Beyond the Nail - Spring Blue Creme over the entire nail. While still wet, I gently peeled off the nail guide and was left with a half moon design! But I couldn't stop there.. I added some more topcoat, and added some
Half Round Studs to each nail, outlining the half moon design.
Here's the design I started with.. I wasn't sure if I liked it enough to keep it on,
I started with two coats of
Beyond the Nail - Champagne. When it was dried, I added
French Tip Nail Guides to the top of each nail and painted
Beyond the Nail - Biscotti to the lower half of my nail. I gently peeled off the nail guide while the polish was still wet, and got a tiny brush and extended the
Biscotti polish on the sides to make it look more round. I topped every nail off with one coat of
PRO-FX - Quick Dry Topcoat.
