7 Month Puppy Update .. and sad news :(

Windsor - November 15, 2013

Hi everyone! Windsor is now 7 months old (and 60 pounds!!).. what a monster :) He's definitely bigger than my old dog, Zeppelin. On Friday, I tried to take a photo of Windsor and myself (because that's what crazy dog owners do, right?!). I tried to recreate a picture I took of my old dog Zeppelin and myself from a couple of years ago. Take a look!
Me & Zeppelin (I believe in 2011..?)
Me & Windsor

I think I did the best I could. Considering Windsor is a 7 month old puppy who is INSANE! He has the attention span of a goldfish.. To get BOTH dogs to look at the camera, I placed a treat on top of the camera right before the picture was taken so they are focused on that. I used my DSLR camera that my parents bought me when I graduated from college :) I think it's a Nikon D3000, I can't recall from memory.

Anyways, onto the SAD news.. Windsor ran out of the house on Friday (after these pictures were taken), and ran down the street. I chased him, but when he got to the end of the road, he crossed the street! Right infront of a VAN. The van stopped but ended up hitting Windsor!! I don't think I ever screamed, ran, or cried that fast in that short span of time.I think it was the scariest moment of my life. I ran to Windsor, as he ran towards me yelping with his leg all limp :(  The worst part - the van DROVE AWAY! So I obviously ran after it screaming "you hit my dog".. and nope, they didn't care. They just kept driving.. LUCKILY my neighbour happened to see this all go down, and followed the car and took a picture of their licence plate. I went to the police station the next day to file a hit and run, but since Windsor wasn't on a leash, they couldn't do much about it. Which I fully understand, all I wanted was an apology! How hard is it to pull your car over, and see if the dog is okay and apologize? I wouldn't make them pay for anything (in terms of medicine or x-rays etc). Ohwell.. all Windsor really did was hurt his front leg really badly.. he can still walk but he limps. He's on some pretty strong medicine. It's been a couple of days since it's happened, but he's doing a lot better :) Hopefully he will be 100% better soon.. the sad part, I don't think he's learned his lesson!

Here he is all drugged up..
If you look closely, the paw on the right is a bit more swollen.
He scraped his chin on the road :(
