This past weekend was the first
Generation Beauty event in Toronto! My friend Elena (
+Nail Experiments) asked me to go with her and once I looked at what
brands would be at the event, I knew I wanted to go. I had missed out on the super early bird tickets at $50, so I got my ticket for the early bird price of $100 (tickets were normally
$200!!). Afterwards, I realized that since I'm a member of
IpsyOS, I would be getting a free ticket - so I sold my ticket to another friend and brought her along on the journey.

Generation Beauty is an event where beauty and fashion creators, along with makeup fanatics come and meet during a weekend of inspiration, networking, and fun! I wasn't sure what to expect at all since I've never been to an event like this before, but I was excited to try some new products out.

Unfortunately, I was unable to come to the event on Saturday, as well as the Canadian Beauty Bloggers and IpsyOS dinners - which bummed me out, especially because I missed out on meeting some of my blogger friends and getting an awesome swag bag. I could only come on the Sunday, but ended up meeting
Elena (
+Nail Experiments).. but as soon as the event started we all got separated because we just ran to all the different booths haha,
Before coming to the event, I was expecting there to be booths everywhere with products to buy, but to my surprise only a handful of booths had products to buy, whereas the others just had displays of their products and gave away free samples. The line-ups at some booths were also ridiculously long.. 30min - 2 hour wait times!  Everyone who came to the event got a booklet with a map of the event, as well as tickets to redeem at each booth for a sample product (majority of them were full sized products!). Some booths had requirements to follow them on social media or post photos & tag them.
Check out all my photos, along with all the goodies I got!

Did any of you girls go? I wish I had went on the Saturday so I could actually meet up with people. I think I'll come to this event if it comes back next year, but I hope their event gets sorted out better.. Maybe more people available to give out samples to avoid huge lines, blogger/vlogger discussions, makeup tutorials, and definitely more products available for purchase? I think that would make for an awesome event.
