Julep came out with these new
Whipped Matte Lip Mousses and since I'm getting more into lipsticks, I knew I had to try these. I was really interested in
Bisou - which is described as a modern mauve. I was going to get
Ooh La La (a sepia taupe), but I went for
Smooch instead because I needed a red lipstick in my collection.
I have a weird love for nail tools, so I picked up Julep's
Cleanup Tool. I love having sturdy metal tools for my nail art, and this one is perfect! It has a straight edge for cleaning nail polish off your skin, and a rounded edge to help clean up under your nails.
As I mentioned, I picked up Smooch & Bisou. These whipped matte lip mousses go on SO smoothly. The formula is unlike anything I've ever tried. Describing them as a creamy mousse is perfect. They go on flawlessly and dry matte, yet they don't dry my lips out like my Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips. I think Julep really hit the ball out of the park with these!
Smooch is a brick red lipstick, and went on super smoothly. I had to apply to coats because the first layer was a bit streaky. I found it to pull a bit of an orange tint on me.
Bisou is a modern mauve. It went on smoothly and I didn't have to go over it a second time. I really love the colour of this lipstick and will definitely use this a lot.
