spilledpolish: The Super Sizer Mascara Review

Covergirl’s newest mascara is their Super Sizer by LashBlast. It gives you up to 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes. To achieve this, you have to twirl the mascara wand as your apply it.

Mascara is probably one of my must have items for my everyday look. I use 3 different mascara’s at a time to achieve a very voluminous look. Since I layer mascara’s, I don’t really need to look for that one mascara to cover all aspects (length, volume, etc). I start off by using a mascara that has a plastic brush that would separate my lashes and give them length. My second mascara would need to have a bristle brush, which would add on some volume to my lashes. The third mascara usually has a huge bristle wand that can really pack on the volume and thicken up my lashes.

The Super Sizer by LashBlast would fit into my first step of the process. Having a plastic wand, I was expecting it to separate my lashes while giving them super length. I was having a hard time twirling the brush as I applied it (mostly because I never twirl any mascara while applying it, so this was a new technique). I was disappointed that it left my lashes clumpy and not as long as I hoped. I had to go in and separate my lashes individually using tweezers.

Since I use so many mascara’s, I don’t care if one of them doesn’t live up to their claim, but this mascara did not do it for me. If I layered mascara over it, it would be a giant mess and I would have super clumpy lashes. Not a good look for me!
