Has anyone heard of the beauty company
Maple Holistics? They are an American based company that focuses on shampoo and conditioner, but they also have a ton of skincare items, and all of their products are vegan. I was contacted a month ago to see if I would be interested in trying their products out, and I really taking care of my skin and hair so I figured I'd give it a shot. I chose to try out their
Ancient Clay Facial Mask and their
Silk 18 Hair Conditioner.

When looking at Maple Holistics' website, I saw so many types of hair products. I colour my hair very often, as well as blow dry, straighten or curl it, and I knew I needed something that would help my hair look and feel it's best. When I saw their
Silk18 Conditioner & read that it can smooth hair and leave it silky, I knew I needed to try it!
The Silk 18 conditioner is dedicated to formulating a blend of conditioning agents which can maximize smooth hairness, have no potentially harmful additives, and be effective for all hair types. Silk18 Conditioner is the end result – an all-in-one conditioner which contains a perfectly balanced synergy of nature’s most efficient conditioning ingredients to maximize moisture retention capacity for silky, flowing hair.
When I first used this conditioner, there were tiny lumps in it. I assume it's because the product might have been sitting for too long or the ingredients weren't mixed properly. After I applied it to my hair, they kinda of massaged their way smooth (if that makes sense?). So that wasn't a huge deal. It also has an scent that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's a mix of many different ingredients for sure. It's kind of like a minty chocolate? I can't even describe it. It smells good, so I can't complain! I left it on for about 10 minutes while I washed my face & shaved. When I rinsed it out, my hair felt super smooth! After getting out of the shower, I towel dried my hair and began to brush it. It was very easy to brush my hair, and I was left with silky smooth hair :)

As much as I like to take care of my hair, I love to take care of my skin more. I use a lot of scrubs, face washes, and moisturisers to keep my skin super smooth and hydrated. I love to use a mask every week or two, so I was excited to try Maple Holistic's
Ancient Clay Facial Mask out.
Their mask is a combination of authentic clays include French Green Clay, Bentonite Clay, and Fuller’s Earth (Multanni Mitti), each with their own therapeutic benefits for the skin. French Green Clay absorbs and removes impurities from the skin – Bentonite Clay revitalizes skin and softly extracts toxins – Fuller’s Earth helps to clear blackheads and whiteheads while hydrating the skin for glowing, radiant skin.
The directions on the packaging were simple: mix one part of the clay to two parts water. They even included a little scoop to get the right amount of clay out. I used a brush from ELF to mix the mask and apply it on my face. I don't think the brush was helpful at all.. it didn't mix the product together evenly and was hard to transfer onto my face. I'm going to need to try and find a new way of mixing & applying this mask. I'm not sure if using my fingers would be the best bet either.
After mixing the clay & water for a minute or two, I applied it all over my face and waited 10 minutes for it to dry. I might have applied it super thick because some parts still weren't dry. I think a thin layer on your face would be ideal to get the best results using this mask.
After removing the mask, my face felt smooth and clean. I'm definitely going to be adding this to my skincare regime, as well as let my family try it out too! The Silk18 Conditioner was also great - my hair felt great after getting out of the shower.
