Hey everyone! I haven't gotten a Julep Maven box in quite a while. I decided to get a box this month because I wanted to try their lipsticks out and I really needed a face primer. I wasn't interested in any of the nail polishes offered in this month's box, so I just swapped out all my items for the face primer and lipstick. I even got some free metallic tattoos!

I don't have a huge issue with oily skin, but on some days my skin decides it wants to be super oily. I needed a new face primer, and saw Julep had a mattifying one, so I had to try it out! The reviews on their site were positive, so I was excited to try it out.
The
Blank Canvas Mattifying Face Primer has a very thick consistency which I'm not used to with other face primers. However, it applies very smoothly and makes a nice base for my makeup. I've been wearing it for almost a week and I haven't broken out yet, so that's also great. It lasts all day too! I would recommend getting this product if you're looking for a long lasting primer and are familiar with Julep.

I'm not a huge fan of lipsticks, but with my sisters wedding coming up (THIS Saturday!) I knew I needed a lipstick and Julep's Chit Chat looked perfect. It's a sunset rose crème, and applies flawlessly. It's a full coverage lipstick and doesn't feel heavy when wearing. The shade is almost close to my own lips so it's not a huge difference when I'm wearing it. The lipstick itself has some weight to it, making it feel and look like a high quality brand. Definitely something I'll be wearing for a while!
