Hi everyone! I've been busy doing all these Halloween looks and swatches that I haven't done much nail art lately. I decided to do a look that I saw by
Christine from simplynailogical. She is a very talented nail artist that did some amazing swatches and nail art using our
Summer Galaxy Collection and I couldn't wait to copy some of her looks!
A while ago, she did an awesome look (
check it out here) with a technique called
Leadlighting (which is when you dab sheer jelly polishes over a white design stamped over a black pattern). This was my first attempt at it, and I'm pretty sure I nailed it! I even found a stamping pattern that matched her design perfectly.
I started by painting my nails with one coat of
Beyond the Nail - Deep Black. When it was dried, I stamped over it with
Konad - White Special Polish (that I bought on
www.nailpolishcanada.com) using
Konad - m64 stamping plate. When it was all dried, I put one coat of
PRO-FX - Complete 3 over it to seal it.
When everything was dried, I dabbed on all of our
Summer Galaxy polishes in random spots, covering all my whole nail. I was contemplating on either doing each nail a different colour, or doing each nail every colour like simplynailogical did. And, obviously I had to go all out and do every colour on each nail :)
