Barkbox January 2014

Hi everyone! I received my BarkBox for January yesterday. Windsor absolutely loves it when there's mail and I ask him what he got. He goes NUTS.. but for good reason of course.

BarkBox is a monthly box that you get in the mail filled with goodies for your dog. The boxes include 4 or more products every month that range from toys, bones, hygiene products, etc. What's also great is that they donate 10% of their profits to shelters, rescues and animal welfare organizations!
I bought a 3 month subscription, which cost me $72 plus $5 shipping (for each month & only because I live in Canada). It ended up being $29 a month for the box. It seems like a lot of money, but I figured that if I bought all these items separately, it would cost more, and I wouldn't get to try out these awesome treats and toys! If you subscribe for more months, you end up saving money too!

Grandma Bowser's: Country Oven Biscuits
These treats are peanut butter flavoured, and from experience I know Windsor will LOVE these. All my dogs have always loved peanut butter :) I'm saving these for when all Windsor's other treats are done. He probably won't eat the other ones if he's tried these.

Think! Dog: Louisiana Alligator Jerky ($7)
When I first saw these I was a bit skeptical because I've never heard of dog treats made with alligator (let alone any human food..). Windsor seemed excited about them (well, he's excited about any bag full of treats..) so I opened these right away. There should have been a warning label because these things SMELL!! It's so strong.. Windsor didn't mind, he ate a couple of them up in no time. It's amazing how smell doesn't affect a dog's appetite.. where as I would've thrown it away haha. This is probably the best item that came in this month's box.
Wigzi - Stuff n' Throw & Stuff n' Crunch ($20)
When I first saw this toy/treat combination I was excited. It looked like a fun toy for Windsor to play with, and it would be a fun way for him to eat his treat. I opened the bag up, and went to put the treat in the slot, but the treat fell right through to the inside. The pocket is way too big for the treat. So Windsor just has to hit the ball over, and the treat comes right out. Not very great considering the toy and treats are made for each other. Funny enough, Windsor isn't fond of the treat.. he just wants to play with the ball!
