December Julep Maven Box - Boho Glam

Hey everyone! I got my December Maven Box from Julep yesterday! I'm very surprised lately by Julep; their shipping has gotten a lot faster! I live in Canada and it used to take 2+ weeks to get to me, but now it takes about a week. I'm really happy about that because now I can get it at the same time as everyone else in the USA. This month, I decided to pick their Boho Glam box. I was really excited to see that this month's item (in addition to nail polish), was a eyeshadow palette! Everywhere blog I go on lately is just talking about the new Naked 3 palette.. and I don't want to spend $50+ on eyeshadow if I don't wear it everyday. So, I will try out Julep's and if I love it, then maybe I'll think about the Naked Palette :P

In addition to my Julep goodies, I received these cute twistbands! I've always wanted to try these and now I get the chance. However, I think I expected way more of these hairbands. I like to have a strong hold in my hair elastics, especially since I have naturally thick hair, and I like to have my ponytails done tightly. These twistbands don't have a strong elastic and I feel like they would slip out of my hair after a while. I suppose these work better for people who like to wear their hair in a loose ponytail. Nonetheless, I am happy with these :) I can use them when I'm just lounging around at home.

Now onto the main items in the box!

This month's Boho Glam box contained:

Sweep Eyeshadow Palette: Neutrals
This was probably the main reason why I chose to NOT skip this month's box. I was so excited to see a neutral eyeshadow palette :)

Julep - Misti: This nail polish is amazing! It goes on super smooth, and it only needs two coats to make it opaque. I love it! It reminds me of a darker version of OPI's Mermaid Tears (a nail polish I wish I had!)

Taken without flash, but with direct light from a lamp
Julep - Joelle: This polish went on so smoothly, and it took about 3 coats to get the coverage seen above. 2 coats could have done the job, but there were some parts where you could see my actual nail come through.. and I have Nail OCD (haha).. so that can't happen.
