Nails of the Week! (ELF, Julep, & Beyond the Nail)

Hey everyone,

I've been so busy making nail polish and working my other 2 jobs, that I've had no real time to do my nails, or even post them when I do!  So here is a post with all my manicures from the week :)

 Minty Twilight
For this look, I started off with two coats of ELF's Mint Green, and then two coats of Beyond The Nail's Minty Twilight.  This top coat has minty stars, white hex glitter & micro-holographic glitter!

Gold Holographic Glitter in a Black Base
This nail polish is one of my favourites from my new line :) It's a black nail polish that is LOADED with gold holographic glitter. I added a blurry picture so you can see the holographic glitter!

Blue Tips with a Gold Flake Topcoat
This look was created with Julep's Marisa, and Beyond the Nail's Gold Leaf Topcoat. (This is a sneak peak polish! It's not for sale yet).

Swatch Time - Beyond the Nail

Hey everyone,

Here is a nail design I did! I used Love & Beauty's All Unique (a brand from Forever21), and my very own nail polish from Beyond the Nail - Pink Microglitter!
I hope you enjoy this look! I added diamond rhinestones on each finger to match with my nail polish :)

We are just starting our nail polish line, so we don't have names for each of our nail polish yet, so now we have listed them with words that describe the polish. If anyone has any nail polish name ideas, let me know!!

My first pair of YOGA JEANS!!

http://www.fashiontelevision.com/galleries/secondyoga_1.jpg
Wow, so a couple of weeks ago I entered a contest on Yoga Jean's facebook page to win a pair of their jeans.. and guess who won? ME!! Woo hoo :)

Yoga Jeans aren't like any other pair of jeans.. at first you'd think they're yoga pants that look like jeans (& that's what I thought at first too!), but they are actually a pair of jeans that are so comfortable that you could do yoga in them. They're not meant to do yoga in, but they are very stretchy so they allow you to stretch and move freely in them. What's also great is that they're fit nicely to your body shape, and are very flattering :)  I have bigger hips/butt and my waist is smaller so jeans usually have a gap at the back so I need to wear a belt. Luckily, Yoga Jean's are form fitting and don't have a gap!

I tend not to wear jeans because my body shape makes it uncomfortable to wear them (I need to wear belts and then long shirts so my jeans don't pull down when I sit down, etc.. very frustrating trying to wear pants when you're not a size 0 lol!) Well Yoga Jeans has definelty changed my mind about jeans :) After reciving these jeans, I've been on the hunt for more yoga jeans! I would definerly recommend them to everyone! I've read other reviews online and they've all been very positive! I guess the ONLY downside is that they're a little more expensive than the average jean, but I swear it's WORTH IT! I'm so glad I entered their contest on facebook and won! I would've missed out on such great jeans!

Happy Valentine's Day :)

Happy Love Week :)
I started painting my nails purple not realizing that Valentine's Day was so close! So I quickly took it off, and painted my nails with Sally Hansen's Coral Reef (a very pretty coral [pinky-orange] colour), and I stamped over it with my Bundle Monster plate BM-317 with my white konad polish! I really think this is a cute design and defintely takes away all the red nail art that everyone is used too :)

ENJOY!

*TUTORIAL* DIY: The EASIEST way to remove GLITTER nail polish!

So I was looking online one day and stumbled upon an easy way to remove glitter nail polish that involves white glue! So I decided to try this as I feel it's 10x harder to remove glitter on gel/acrylic nails since we can't do the foil wrap (the acetone will ruin my nails). Anyways, I tired this technique and I will NEVER be afraid to wear glitter again! :)

So, please look below for the step-by-step guide that I made for everyone :)

**NOTE: This will change your life forever :)

STEP ONE: Gather all your supplies. You will need your glitter nail polish, white glue (like the kind you used when you were a kid!), and a nail polish brush.

STEP TWO: Put a little bit of glue on a piece of paper for you to pick up with the nail polish brush. (I've seen people put the glue in an empty nail polish bottle, but this way you can use just what you need, and not need to empty out a bottle).

STEP THREE: Paint your nail(s) with one coat of glue. Remember, the thicker you apply the glue, the longer you will have to wait!

STEP FOUR/FIVE: The glue will go on white on your nails (step 4), but after 10 or so minutes, the glue will dry completely and turn clear (see step 5)!

STEP SIX: Paint your nail(s) with glitter! I chose to paint mine (3 coats) with a strong red glitter.

STEP SEVEN/EIGHT: When you're ready to remove your nail polish, you can just use a cuticle pusher or orange wood stick to scrape/pick off your glitter nail polish! It will start to come off in little pieces, but as you can see in my last picture, it may also come off in one big chunk!

ENJOY!
